    10 Uses of Organic Rosemary Essential Oil

    1. Stress relief

    It has been proven that inhaling rosemary or lavender essential oil for 5 minutes will decrease the level of cortisol in the saliva. Cortisol is one of the main stress hormones that are released during the “flight or fight” response of the body to stress.

    2. Muscle and joint pain (arthritis and rheumatism)

    Add 30 drops of rosemary oil into 30 ml carrier oil and use it to massage the affected area that is in pain. Taking baths with 10-15 drops of rosemary oil are also found to be effective in the treatment of rheumatism. It has anti-inflammatory property, which makes it very good for relieving the pain from sprains and joint aches.

    3. Stimulate hair growth

    Add 2-3 drops of rosemary and 1-2 drops of peppermint oil into your shampoo. Massage the scalp well to promote healthy hair growth.

    4. Learning and Memory

    Rosemary essential oil is an excellent brain and nerve tonic. It is often used by students during exam times because it increases concentration.     Rosemary essential oil can be used externally for relief from symptoms of indigestion. If you’re suffering with flatulence, stomach cramps, constipation or bloating give it a try. Combine it with a carrier oil and massage into the stomach. You can also try a bath with rosemary oil for the same effect. Some even say that rubbing the oil on the bottom of your feet will alleviate indigestion!

    8. Headache

    Apply a drop topically to your temples or the aching parts of your head. You can also try rubbing it in your hands and cupping them over your mouth and nose for up to a minute. If your headache is stress related, then by using rosemary you will be alleviating the root cause of the pain.

    9. Get rid of cellulite

    Add two drops of rosemary essential oil and two drops of fennel essential oil to three teaspoons of a carrier oil like olive, jojoba or almond oil. Massage the problem areas daily. A rosemary oil lymph massage, outlined above, will also help with cellulite.

    10. For stretch marks

    Rosemary essential oil is one of the best essential oils for removing stretch marks, especially when blended with coconut oil. Mix 30 drops of rosemary oil in 30 ml coconut oil and apply daily until the marks faded.
